Does your vehicle’s license plate have numbers or letters that cannot be recognized from 50 feet away? Is the plate blistered, peeling, discolored, or no longer reflective?
State Representative Abby Major and the Allegheny Township Police Department will host a free Illegible License Plate Event to help eligible drivers begin the replacement process.
The event will be held: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Allegheny Township Building, located at: 136 Community Building Drive, Leechburg, PA
Drivers should bring the vehicle with the affected license plate. Police will inspect the plate to determine whether it is illegible and assist eligible drivers with the required paperwork. The replacement plate and a new registration card will then be mailed to the vehicle owner’s home address.
