Board Member Bios

Mike Korns has been an associate professor of Employment and Labor Relations at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) since 2004, teaching graduate courses in contract administration, organizational behavior, labor relations, and human resource management in the public sector. Prior to teaching, Mike spent 24 years in the energy sector working in safety, training, and employment relations. He attained a B.S. in Safety Sciences, an M.A. in Employment and Labor Relations, and a Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies at IUP. Mike has been a member of the IUP University Senate for 15 years and served as chair of its Senate Rules committee for 10 years. He currently serves as vice president and treasurer on the board of directors for the Try Life Center in Lower Burrell.
Ren SteeleRen Steele grew up on the Steele farm on White Cloud Road in Allegheny Township.  His relatives have lived in Allegheny Township since 1824.  Ren graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in English Literature.  Moreover, he received a M.Ed. from UCLA.  He is a past President of the Sons of the American Revolution, Pittsburgh Chapter.  Mr. Steele is a playwright and co-founder of Freeport Theatre Festival, a local straw-hat theatre.  In addition, Ren has been a middle school teacher for twenty-three years, mostly with Armstrong School District.  He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Jamie Morabito has been an Allegheny Twp Resident for 29 years. Graduated from Kiski Area High school. Attended Penn State. Owner of Morabito Motors in Lower Burrell Business Man of the year 2003 – 2004. Republican National Business Advisory Counsel. Member of the Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Association.
